Alat ini juga bisa digunakan untuk hardisk tipe IDE tetapi hardisk IDE anda diharuskan menggunakan adaptor tambahan untuk mengubahnya menjadi koneksi SATA. USB 3.0 dengan kecepatan transfer data teoritis dari 5.0GBit / s. Itulah sepuluh kali lebih cepat daripada USB 2.0 kecepatan sebesar 480 Mbit / s.
